Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. MYDEC is BCA-registered and holds HDB License HB-08-5452C, so the licensed trades on your job — electrical, plumbing, demolition and general building works — are carried out under a verified registration, not an unlicensed subcontractor. We're also insured for the work we do.

Is the lowest quotation always the best deal?

Accepted Answer

Not usually. A much lower quote can mean a lower-grade material spec, fewer of the trades actually being licensed, or costs that reappear later as 'variation' charges. We give you one itemised quotation up front so you can compare it line by line against any other, rather than just comparing the total.

What's included in your quotation — are there hidden costs later?

Everything is itemised before work starts: materials, labour and each trade. If something changes once we're on site, we discuss and price it with you before proceeding — nothing is added to your bill without your sign-off.

Yes. We regularly deliver HDB (resale and BTO), condominium and new-launch units, and landed properties including addition & alteration works. We also take on commercial fit-outs for offices, retail and F&B.

It depends on the property type, the scope of works and how quickly permits are approved. Once we've scoped your project, we give you a written schedule with key milestones before work starts, so you know what to expect and when.

Can I see the design before any hacking begins?

Yes. Our I.D. Proposal service covers space planning, 3D perspective drawings and material boards so you can walk through the whole home — and know what you're approving — before committing to construction.

Is your carpentry done in-house?

Our carpentry is produced through in-house and long-standing trusted workshop partners, and installed by our own team. That keeps quality control and site coordination in one pair of hands, rather than a separate carpenter you have to coordinate with yourself.

What happens if a defect shows up after handover?

We walk through the completed unit with you before handover and note anything that needs attention. On top of that, workmanship and materials are covered by a 6-month warranty, so rectification is part of the project you've already agreed on, not a separate call-out you have to negotiate afterwards.
